DO YOU HAVE A VESSEL?
Have your vessel safety checked for the 2008 season! Before you call to schedule a FREE vessel examination perform the following checks yourself:

• Make sure the vessel registration numbers are displayed properly, and the latest registration stickers are attached.
• Locate the registration document.
• Check your Life Jackets (PFD's). Make sure they are USCG approved, in good and serviceable condition, and accessible.
• Check the expiration date on the Visual Distress Signals (Must not be expired).
• Check that there are adequate fire extinguishers and they are charged.
• Check that the sound producing device works (horns or whistles).
• Make sure the vessels navigation lights are in working order.
• North Carolina and South Carolina require the vessel have an anchor with the proper size line.
